Thank you for your interest in working with me to create artwork as heirlooms for your family. I take portraiture assignments to heart, and strive to make images that are far more valuable than a document of your family's appearance. I approach portraiture with introspection and sensitivity, working to attune myself to the authentic dynamics, relationships, and stories of each family or individual. I think of the sessions as deep character studies. The challenge of finding truth in a portrait of another person thrills me! I work slowly, with intention, studying genuine and meaningful interactions, expressions, gestures and body language. Every human is precious and mysterious. It is my desire as an artist to co-create with you to make photographs that are like full containers and less like maps--Photographs that are full to the brim, holding your story.

I keep my pricing structure very simple and transparent so we can all fuss less over numbers.

Individual Portraits (including children's portraits, senior portraits, and adult portrait studies) are a flat fee of $750. The session is included, along with your choice of either one print up to 16" on the longest side, or a series of 4 prints 10" or smaller. I prefer working in the studio, but can work on location if there is a meaningful place you want to include. I am reluctant to sell digital files, as I am mercilessly particular about the print quality of my work. If digital files are important to you, we can discuss pricing on an individual basis and I can help you make arrangements with a professional printer to insure high-quality prints. All of my prints are handmade with the utmost care. Individual prints may be purchased in addition to the included prints. Unmounted prints up to 10" on the longest side are $50. Bulk pricing is available and can be discussed on an individual basis. All prints include digital artwork and retouching.
